Hello,
I decided to join the forum to for some assistance. I have a 2009 Ram 1500 5.7 that I'm working on and enabling the remote start feature. I went under BCM and car configuration change and changed remote start present to "set" , then went to configurable inputs , input # 2 and set that to hood ajar. Then went into RF hub and pulled the pin from the vehicle and then programmed the fob. The fob works to start the truck and lock and unlock the truck. However when I go to double press the remote start the horn chirps once and doesn't seem to take the second press. This fob is from ace hardware. For the hood latch situation I went directly to the TIPM connector C4 pin 3 and installed a jumper to ground. On my solus legend when I have the pin grounded the PID says hood ajar switch active, when I have the jumper removed it says open and when I have a 1k ohm resister installed it says inactive. I am not sure if the resistance is off or if the pin should be jumped to ground. Also not sure if this is a bad key fob issue. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thank you in advance!
