Gents, as always I try and post up my video links here just in case those that aren't subscribed to me on my youtube channel still have an avenue to watch my videos. If you are not a subscriber and wish to, after watching the vid, subscribe to me from the video once it takes you to youtube. Anyways, I finally gave in and bought a king steering damper to help with the steering. I recently rotated my tires and had the wheels balanced as well, but still have some shimmy/shake in the steering wheel. The truck could also use some help with bumps/holes in the road so I knew the damper would help with that.

Did you experience any pull to the right after installing it? Those single charged dampers tend to push the steering that way?
It's great if the truck has a slight left pull it can correct that but if it runs straight it might cause it to pull right a little.

Yes, but very slight/minor pull to the right. The road crown doesn’t help, but on flat road there is a little pull. Nothing crazy though. After driving it a few weeks already, the steering damper is making me more happy.

What would you say are the biggest advantages to this over say the synergy steering brace?

I found those to help on my 3rd Gen with it's smaller steering box and other steering issues those trucks had. But I noticed zero difference on my 4th gen and took it off. I know people swear by them but I honestly don't think they are needed on the newer trucks. It's a carry over from the old steering design.
.

I’ve heard this too. Honestly, I felt the difference. Maybe it was because I was driving a LS430 before the truck, or maybe because I’ve never driven a vehicle which so much play in the steering. I like the stiffer/tighter feel that the gear box stabilizer brings. I still have it installed on my truck.

Are you using both?
