Will installing a KN filter/intake forgo a warranty that I have on my vehicle? Or do they recognize it as a suitable filter so I won't get screwed?

The only way an intake could void your warranty is if the dealership could prove that the addition of it caused a particular part to fail.
An example would be if you installed a leveling kit and your cv angles were bad and you broke one, they wouldn't warranty the axles. But if you installed the level and a valve spring broke, they couldn't void your warranty for that
