'22 RAM 2500 6.7 Replaced DPF in Feb 2025 under warranty for excessive regen and DPF warnings. 12 months later got the warning again, Power Reduced, Filter Full, See Dealer. Took it in for the expected stationary regen. Dealer called and said the fault returned after a successful regen and they needed more time to diagnose. Service manager called and advised they found an aftermarket air filter (Doc's Diesel) and it caused the airbox to warp, allowing dirty air to coat the MAF Sensor, which was causing the fault. Hit me with a $1066 charge to replace the airbox assembly. RAM Warranties didn't cover anything. Extended warranty, about $50. I asked them to retain all parts. Take a look at the pics, this is the MAF sensor mounting, you'll note the "vestige" or excess plastic trim from the airbox manufacturing process. This is supposed to be trimmed off (cleaned up) before inserting the sensor. That lip prevents the MAF Sensor seal from doing it's job. Bad thing in all this, the "Factory Trained Diesel Technician" took one of these pictures, and still told his manager the "massive suction" and after-market filter caused this damage. With ALL the DPF issues these trucks are notorious for, I wonder how many are attributed to this?

Sad that you had to learn the hard way about what dealers will say when they find that your using aftermarket air filter, this is one reason why i and others have been warring diesel owners to not use Doc Diesel filters, to only use either OEM or Fleetguard air filters when you still are covered by the factory warranty, as for the photo they sent I would want to see it it person as some areas of it look odd to me

They took one photo, I took the other. I told them that I wanted to retain all parts they replaced. So I have the complete airbox, filter, sensors.

Non-OEM air filters have been well documented to cause excessive regens no doubt about that. I doubt that little extra bit of plastic effected the MAF sensor, it sticks down well below that (edit: I do see the other bit I think you were referring to, was initially looking at that piece inside). The filter causing a warped air box is a bit of a stretch though.
