What do y'all think?

I'm going with a lift combo of bilsteins set at 2.8", matching rear shocks (ordered), zone HD UCAs and TGC 1" rear spacers (ordered). My wheel and tire combo will consist of level 8 17x9 5" bs scorpion wheels wrapped in hankook 315/70r17 dynapro atm tires. I don't mind spending the money, just want to know what y'all think before I drop $830 on them.

Not sure about the new IFS Rams, but I leveled my 04 1500 with torsion keys and had it craked up a bit, but not excessive and I went through 2-3 sets of CVs, not due to wearing out the joints, but rather the boots kept tearing. I even backed them off so that the ribs weren't touching and I didn't think they were bad at all but the boots kept splitting. It was a PITA to change them out, and that is why I traded it in and bought a 2500 with the SFA to avoid that crap. My suggestion would be to put them on and then not have to worry about it, but not sure the difference between a 2011 and 2004 and if your was better than mine.

Id say before you spend the money, install your lift/level see what angles you have and go from there. Some people have issues and vibrations some dont, it is insurance against anything happening, but if you wait and see what happens and not need them you saved 830 bones, if you end up needing them you spend the money anyway

I have them in my truck. I also have the KORE adjustable bilsteins they use (used) on their pre-runner series suspension, which are adjustable up to 3.5". When I was putting my lift together, there were a lot of examples of people having issue with vibrations at 2.1" and 2.8", as well, some peope having no issues at all. Issues being vibration when 4x4 engaged under acceleration.

I wanted the piece of mind and Kore offered them as part of their pre-runner suspension. I've had that kit on for about a year now and have had zero issues (one tore CV boot but that's minor).

As Andrew09HEMI said, if you install them at 2.8" and have no vibrations, you have saved money.

Not sure if you have shop space, are doing them yourself or getting others, but have to think about additional costs with possibly having to re-adjust after you set them at 2.8" and re-align. Something to consider.

I don't have any need for a 2500 (yet!), and I got a killer deal, so I couldn't pass on my 1500.

That makes sense. I could be lucky (wasn't with my XJs' t-case vibes. lol) and not have those problems. My biggest concern is winter time driving. I don't want to kill parts driving through snow in 4hi to work, at 30-55mph.

I'm going to try and do this all myself, but I may source a shop since I'll be walking into truck driving by the time I can afford the wheels/tires.

Thanks for the input guys.

Maybe I should save myself some hassle, and just go with bilsteins, 4" RCX and 37's :D Like so:
