so I had a 20” from Custom Offsets, filled up with condensation and turned yellow in exactly 1 year, so I’m trying out the Rough Country Black Series with DRL and since the 30” will not fit between the tow hooks, I threw in 2 2” Black Series Cubes with DRL.

Advertised 200w 18000 Lumen - 20” Bar
Advertised 40w 3200 Lumen - 2” Cubes

The bar is easily brighter than the Black Label Custom Offset light bar, I haven’t ran the wiring to the cubes yet. Tomorrow I’ll get that done and post some pics. The cool white DRL are quite nice too. I wired them to my Aux switches below the heater controls and set the DRL to come on when the truck is running since I don’t have a DRL circuit on the Tradesman.

I’m wanting to do a 30” as I don’t have hooks yet. When I do get both I’ll craft the brackets for the hooks and bar together.

The 30” don’t fit with factory tow hooks, some people have notched the hooks to get them to fit and I’ve seen posts of the hooks breaking after notched. It would prob be fine if you never use the hooks. Most of the 30” that I could find measure out a touch over 31”. There was a post on here somewhere, a guy found aftermarket hooks that allowed him to fit the 30”. I’m not sure with the 1500 as mine is a 2500. That’s why I put the cubes in, to fill up that space.

If you workout getting that 30” to fit, make sure you post up in the DIY.

That I’ll do. I do a lot of my own fab work. I read that thread.
I like you have a 2500.
My idea is making a flat bracket that’ll go between the tow hooks and the frame for the light bar to attach to.
It’ll move the hooks out about a 1/4”.im also gonna get a set of those D ring mounts that he showed in the thread instead of the oem tow hooks.
Although I keep referring to them as tow hooks I’m using the D rings

That’s a good idea, I like that setup with the extra cubes.

You won’t have any issues with the RC lightbar. I’ve had mine for almost 2 years now and it has zero condensation or any other issues, it’s one of those things you buy and it just works.

That looks really good! I like the addition of the cubes to fill the space, looks more complete.

You have to remember you live in Texas and he’s in Ohio. If he drives year-round he’s going to put this lightbar through hell and back compared to what yours sees.

Hopefully it lasts though, because I like the way these ones look.

Are you thinking of slightly angling the cubes towards the outside to get a nice wide pattern?

Seems like angling them same exact way as the lightbar would diminish some of the cubes value?

Figured I’d mention that because I feel like it’s something you could play with and get a real nice beam pattern with this combo.

The bar has floods on the sides and spot in the middle. The cubes were really just to fill in the gap.
I just finished wiring them so we will see what they look like tonight.

I did wire the DRL to a switch, the cubes to a switch and the bar to a switch so I can run the cubes or bar independently.

Nice!
I got the 30 inch RC black series with the Amber DLR. Removed the factory tow hooks and replaced them with ones off Amazon fb9053ac24a2008f8c53b6aacd57f788.jpg6c49e6a8fd29b0bec212f6b48e0b59d9.jpg07e39406557630052233972e4d1b366a.jpg89262b871a17de317803995934dc6a07.jpg32ad9347ad6d8447ce5b36738b0dd759.jpg

Those look really nice, I may have considered them but I just powder coated mine blue, getting ready to powder some suspension parts to match.
I wonder if those d-rings will clunk around over time, they look pretty solid.

I definitely don't keep the Dring shackles attached while driving around. Keep them under the rear seat
