I live in Deep East Texas near Hemphill, Texas. I recently purchased a 2012 Ram 2500 with 5.7 Hemi that had less than 80K miles. I'm looking to keep this long term. I also have a 2012 Ram 1500 at the moment but will most likely sell at some point down the road. I was an ASE Certified Tech back in the late 80s and generally do most of my own maintenance and repairs. We didn't have all the newfangled scanners and ECM/PCMs when I was mechanic'n. I'm retired now and my old body just can't contort into some of those tight spaces any more
Looking for a reputable shop that I don't have to pack a overnight bag for the trip. Would like a shop that I can trust my vechile(s) with and not worry as well as not just change parts till they fix the problem (if at all). Anyone on here have some recommendations ? Not opposed to a dealer shop but sometimes they are the worst and not sure if any of the local dealers have any luck attracting some knowledgeable techs.
The type work would be things like changing plugs, injectors, general health checks, maybe PCM re-flash, etc....
