Hey, how are you today?

As the title says, looking to do everything (Headers/Y-Pipe/Cat) for a 5.7 that has as little drone as possible, sounds nice starting up, and accelerating

Currently DD my B7 A4, good little car but unfortunately, my FI Exhaust drones at highway speeds (70-80) and while I've gotten use to it, no one wants to take a ride in it (Except my mother, although shes basically half deaf)

I did search "Drone", but didn't see anything, so figure might as well ask here.

Thanks ahead of time and have a great day

Tell ya what, run you a big muffler. I had a 40" Magnaflow 3" I/O and that thing was wonderful.
Mellow and not a bit of drone. If you split the exhaust into dual 2.5" pipes after the muffler I almost promise you will have no drone. the larger the diameter of the pipe, the greater the chance of drone occurring.

One way to insure there is no drone is to make sure whatever exhaust you put on includes resonators at the back end of the exhaust system in front of the tips.

Sounds good

Also, see AFE's Y-pipe is a good fit, but haven't seen anything on their headers really. I'll do research on recommended headers now, since as I said, might as well do the whole system (Catted pipes should be fine for emissions, or I can just hold onto the old ones to be safe)

Headers can be a slippery slope if you are trying to avoid drone. If you were looking for something that offered good sound quality without sacrificing interior comfort, we would recommend going with a quality catback system first, then the other mods next if you are still looking for more sound. :waytogo:

That's true, but also like how much power the full system can offer as well

Now to check out what you offer
