So this is a nuisance issue for me and one I haven't had a chance to worry about to this point. My truck has the power chrome trailer tow mirrors with manual fold. I see the led's for both the puddle lights and turn signal indicators within the mirror assemblies, but they do not light up at all or flash when using the turn signals. Anyone ever troubleshoot this issue? I have seen a couple of trucks like mine around my local area with the same problem so I know I am not the only one.

truck is a 14 2500 Laramie 4x4 with towing package and manual folding mirrors. Thank in advance for any advice.

Did you just install these or did they come either the truck?

I had the same issue with mine. Replaced the turn signal and puddle lights, now they work. Common problem. Easy to replace, watch You Tube video.

they came with the truck, and replacement sounds easy enough (Thanks Longhorn1500). So a good source for the lights? (eBay?)

Mine burnt out a few times during the lifespan of the truck. Wish I could have found a cheap source for them because they were pricey enough that without me being so fussy about everything working it would have made more sense to just leave them out. Sometimes you can find the aftermarket oe replacement mirrors and strip out the parts you need cheaper than buying the lights. The black ones are cheaper than the chrome and have the same lights. Also might be able to get an electronics place to solder in new bulbs if you have a place around you.

There are also much cheaper aftermarket ones available... Just check the reviews before you purchase.

Those are nice mirrors and a great price, but I would miss the chrome ones that came on my truck.

I just installed tow mirrors on my '12 1500 ST.
There were no turn signals on the original mirrors, but the new tow mirrors have them. However, even though all the connectors plugged in just fine the turn signals don't work. Is this a (non-)feature of the ST?

EDIT - More searching through this forum has turned up some indications (Post # 1490865) that this has to be turned on by the dealer. Can anyone verify that? My power adjust works, BTW, but it worked with the original mirrors also.

You can turn them on yourself with AlfaOBD - there a huge thread in the 4th gen DIY section.
