Interesting video, comments @Wild one

The 5.7 Eagle heads on the lower compression truck 6.4 has been a combo i thought would make a wicked towing motor,it comes in around 12:1 so it'd live on pump 91 with a conservative tune . Putting them on the 485 horse 6.4 isn't really feasable in my opinion unless you have access to E85. I'm not sure how long the glass pistons in the SRT 6.4 would handle 13:1,all it'd take is one bad batch of fuel to break their ringlands.
The truck 6.4's have the best piston out of all the later naturally aspirated 5.7's and 6.4's,and might even be a better piston then the old 6.1's had,and it's only a 10:1 motor,so it'll handle the eagle heads better,and it also handles boost better then the 5.7,plus it has a forged crank,which the 5.7's never had

I guess aluminum heads & tuning have come a long way to run 12:1 compression on 91.
Would think timing would be reduced even more than stock to prevent detonation???

There's guys running upwards of 13:1 on pump 94,but you'll want to make sure the tune is slightly conservative.The thing i'd worry about is getting a bad tank of fuel,as that'll take out a piston in a hurry.
The aluminium heads we have now are a far cry from the old cast iron heads we had years ago,back then anything above 10.5:1 was considered a race motor :Big Laugh:
