Looking to buy, but after calling Morimoto themselves, the clear turn lens is now discontinued!? That should be updated on everyones website you'd think. Amber vs clear plastic for turn signals is a pretty big deal. I guess to comply with DOT they had to put an amber lens in the housing.

They still look good - just not AS good as the clears.

Anyone have anything to add about this? It's making me consider keeping the Vlands after I RMA the broken housing.

While they're a looker, honestly I don't think they're worth the price tag, I have the amber ones just like the post above this one, and while some people stand behind them I've had nothing but disappointment from them, bought them around May 23, first of one of them arrived damaged, the lens was loose inside the housing meaning it was perpetually pointing downward, contacted support about that (just for background bought them from amazon the one time they sold them through it since it was easier for importing them into Mexico) well they basically told me, "yeah you need to buy a replacement from us out of pocket and then after you send that one to us, out of pocket again, we will decide if we reimburse you for them" fair enough I asked what would they do in regards of taxes+shipping of the replacement, guess what, they stopped answering my mails, against my better judgement ended up buying another pair, guess what after 1.5 years for that second pair some hazing/cracking starting appearing on the inside of the housing, for the record there's no water ingress in them, checked every single day that it rained, Ill post a picture (mind the bugs stain and dirt, took the picture on a gas station on the middle of a highway when I noticed it last month) honestly they look great and if they had better support at least in my case I'd say they're worth the shot, but honestly at least for me they're not worth the price tag not even half of it, half of the value of a product will always be its customer support of which at least in my experience there's none

Brutal. For the price I am surprised you've had issues so badly. I pulled the trigger and ordered a set of the XB Morimotos. They look so good. I've ordered from Essk Customs in Saskatchewan CA and was told Morimoto offer a 5 year warranty.

Wonder if there's anything a guy could put over the front of the headlight to protect it from rocks/debris when trailing, as long as it wasn't an eyesore. Sorry to hear about the hazing on the Morimotos. That's a real drag.

I’m surprised they are saying they discontinued. They’re on sale right now on Morimotos site and RetrosfitSourcre. I have a set of clears on my ‘17 Ram that I bought in ‘18 and they have held up well. Never had any initial issues, I have some lens issues now on my passenger side but it seems like it’s on the inside of the lens. I love the low beam output but high beams were to be desired. The ones I have are the first version which I know they are on the second now. I’ve debated on getting a set of ambers now that they’re on sale, everyone has clears on everything anymore and I prefer amber personally.

In regards to protecting them they still sell the Lamin-X film you can apply over them, suppose to take the brunt of the UV and debris before damaging the lens.

I have this issue as well and it's very frustrating. May see about having them clear coated.

yeah honestly I expected more from them, at this point I feel like I paid 200 bucks for a "look cool subscription" they did not hold as expected, the damage is on the inside though and its whats called "crazing" it means the acrylic lens oxidized from UV exposure to the point of having stress fractures on the inside, there's nothing we can do to repair that (that usually happens with low quality UV coating during manufacturing process) the only thing I can think of is opening the lights to see If an OEM lens from a standard headlight would fit over this housing, the light itself is fine its just the lens that's damaged and I'm curious If I would be able the fix the first pair that came with a loose projector, Can't find for the life of me a picture of these headlights without the lenses to see how the vertical "adjustment" works, maybe I can fix those or at least swap lenses
