Just thought I would throw this out there curios on what kind of mpg's/km's these lifted trucks are getting, and what kind of mods are helping.(if it were fuel economy we were after we would probably not be ram owners lol).
So here goes,2011 1500 Qc sport/longhorn 6" ProComp,295/75/18(aprox.34.5" tall),no mods=city aprox.9-10mpg/24L per 100kms,highway 12-14mpg/21L per 100kms looking to improve a little with moded stock cai,exhaust,and tuner when available.

21L/100? How fast are you going? Hopefully that is uphill both ways with a headwind.

I live in the mountains in Northern BC, and so far on my second tank, I am averaging 14.6 overall. I rarely drive faster than 105 though, but in town I drive it a little harder than I should.

Ease up on your foot a little. I am up 6" on 35" MT's with an 18" magnaflow and 3.92's and I get between 14.7-15.5 going to work and it's 14 miles of hills and 2 lane roads. If I actually get on the highway and set the cruise around 65, I still get over 17.

City MPG is just going to suck, no getting around it. All you can do is be easy on the throttle. Even 20percent throttle is going to get you moving decently, so if you just ease into it, you will probably notice a bit of an increase.

If you have stoplights every 10 feet though, your MPG is going to suck.

Mine sucks on the hiway and sucks in town. If i'd wanted a clown car I would have gotten one. Instead I got a Hemi. that's life.

I agree with not wanting a clown car but I thought I would get better than 9 in town and 12.7 on the highway while trying to get the ECO light on and no heavy foot. My 97 did that good with 200,000 miles on it. Mine has a 4" lift and 35x12.5 tires, 3.92 gears. Love the truck other than that.

Definitely sounds like you're getting into the throttle quite a bit if you're getting 24L/100 in town. I get around 18-19 in town with my 4" and 35's. Try letting off the throttle and coasting when you know you'll be coming to a stop instead of keeping on the throttle and braking hard close to the stop. Same when you come to the top of a hill, just let the momentum carry you down. Check your tire pressure. Clean your air filter. Etc.

Bottom line though is that these trucks are not made to sip gas and changing the aerodynamics & adding weight (read lifting) obviously make it worse. Throwing mods like CAI/exhaust/tuner you would see a minor gain in fuel economy at best.

I was surprised how accurate the evic is. Just fueled up, and averaged that tank at 17.7mpg. The evic said i had averaged 17.92mpg. Not bad for a hemi in the mountains.
