I love that colour,it and plum crazy are my favorite 2 colours on the Challengers :waytogo:
Damn it's a beautiful toy J.
If you stumble across a set of cheap 6.4 manifolds and midpipes they work good on a stock 5.7,as the log manifolds on the cars 5.7's are just as bad as the log manifolds on the trucks, lol .
You've probably told me,but i forget, does it have the 3.09 geared posi diff? If it has the 3.07 diff it's a one wheel peeler

It's an 8speed auto, so it's most likely an "one wheel peeler"...? the six speeds have the 3.09 rear gear ...idk, I've not studied up on that.

The 6 speeds are actually 3.90's in the 5.7 and 6.4 stick cars, the stick Hellcats come through with 3.70's.
The standard gear set for the R/T's is the 1 wheel peeler 3.07's,but alot of R/T's if they're ordered in,have the upgraded limited slip 3.09's.
If it has the customer preferred package (quite often listed as package #24G) good chance it'll have the better 3.09's

Yep, it has the Preferred Group Package 24G and so it is a two wheel burner, however, no fog lights, wth ... but I noticed a few weeks back when I "trashed" the lower front air dam, twice on a curb( the damn thing sits to low to the ground, lol)that the fog lights were "absent" ... oh, well.

No biggie, I can add the fog light kit later ... plug and play ...

My wifes old 16 R/T would drag the front spoiler on our driveway, one reason i liked the 1320 was the fact it sits about an inch higher then standard R/T's do,so it never dragged the front spoiler leaving the driveway, lol.
It always boggles my mind the amount of people who lower a Challenger, the damn things are already to low to get over alot of speed bumps or out of driveways, lol

Yep, absolutely! That's exactly what I'd did ... curbs are not a friend of the these cars. I've driven only pick up trucks for the last forty plus years, other than a 1972 NOVA SS during my high school years(late 1970's) and didn't drag or scrape the front end on that car. The damage on the Challenger's lower front air dam is cosmetic, but still looks like shyte ... I'll add that to my parts replacement list, lol.

Another thing I checked was the intake manifold ... every bolt on it was "loose", prior to tightening those down, it had an early morning cold start "rough" idle ...all is good now. I'm running 91 octane no ethanol gas ...

The cars might even be worse then the trucks for loosening off the intake bolts.
Our 1320's intake wasn't even tight when we bought it brand new,i never checked them on her old shaker hood car till it had about 7,000 miles on it,and they were loose,so i'm guessing they were also loose when we initially bought it and it was also new
Good news is,the cars are way easier to work on when it comes to oil changes / spark plugs and intake manifold compared to the trucks, they suck to install long tubes on though,i'd rather put 3 sets of long tubes on a 4X4 truck, then 1 set on a car :Big Laugh:

Interesting and I wonder why the intake manifold would be more apt of being loose vs. the HEMI trucks, but my trucks intake many loosed up a couple of times during its 50,000 miles.

I've always wondered if it might be due to trapped under hood heat,as the cars trap more engine heat then the trucks do.
If you have the ugly engine cover i'd get rid of it,as i think the issues it causes aren't worth the cosmetic looks, lol.
Plus it's easier to keep the engine cleaner, and i actually think the hemi's not that bad of an engine to look at,they're way better looking then an LS or Coyote :Big Laugh:
If you stumble into a 15 to 19 Hellcat airbox, you can make it fit your car,and it'll allow you to run the inner headlight duct.

Yep, not that I was thinking about the "trapped heat" under the hood, I removed the engine cover because it looked like shyte ...

I ran the complete Hellcat airbox on the 1320,and liked it better then the factory cold air kit from Ma Mopar.I ran the mopar CAI ,then went back to the Hellcat top and bottom

Looks good.

Im somewhat satisfied with the factory cold air intake that came on the car, but that could change to the exact setup you've done.

Did you remove the "bolted things" that the engine cover fit onto and if so what did you use?

Also, FWIW ... this car is my only and daily driver. I traded my 2017 RAM truck for it. Long story there ..

So, I'll just stay in the background in the RAMforums like I did for years before becoming an member here.

Hammer down and Happy motoring.

You got enough knowledge i think you should stay as a contributor J. Hell the cars not all that much differant then the truck,it's still a 5.7 with a ZF 8 speed and ZF diff ;) .
Btw i forgot to mention it,but check the fluid level in the diff, both of the wifes Challengers were low on fluid.
I ended up switching the 1320 over to Redline 75W-140,trying to quiet it up,as it had the famous ZF howl.It was the only diff fluid i found that actually minimized the howl it had at part throttle light load deaccelaration. It was really noticable with the back seat and trunk panel out,the car ran around a fair bit with those removed, lol
