I have a 5.7 hemi out of a 2015 ram 1500 big horn and I’m trying to put it in a 2007 ram 2500. My issue is the vvt, there’s no plug! I’ve been researching and my understanding is black is ground of course and the blue ware is a signal back to the pcm that in turn tells the motor to either advance or retard the timing. My question is can I pin that wire to the 2007 pcm somewhere to get the same outcome?

Easiest fix would be to stick a cam in it,that requires a phasor lock-out,which negates the VVT,then tune it to delete mds, while you're at it,replace the lifters with non-mds lifters : aka Hellcat lifters.I don't think you can get the VVT to work on your truck,as it was never an option on the 07 2500's,so I don't think there'll be anything PCM related that'd make it work

2009 2500 (still a 3rd gen) got the 1st year of the vvt, maybe a 2009 pcm might work?? Tune the mds off??
