My truck needs a bath!

Winter is tough with all the salt. To the guys that have truck caps, I have a question. Have any of you had trouble going through automatic car washes with your truck cap on?

Back in the upper midwest I never had issues with shells or toppers, used to use the do it yourself bays , but when really nasty just went through the auto wash. whats worse salt and cinder buildup or possible minor scratches from the brushes.
Here in Arizona we get Desert pinstriping free of charge.
