Ok so I want to buy my first truck and want it to be a Ram 1500. I think I found one for a good deal but then again im not sure. The listed price is 26,000 for a 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab. 46,500 miles
Truck Includes
V8 HEMI with the 8 speed
4x4, has the back camera with parking sensors front and back, the full size touch screen, 6ft bed, cloth seats with full center console, keyless entry.
It got a clean car fax but had some parts recalled, and it being sold by a Chevrolet dealer ship that has had it on the lot for 3 months now.
I plan on offering them 25,000 (for the car, tax, title) not including interest.
Is this a good deal or should I shot for lower price.
Thanks For reading

Depending on your location that is a good deal. If it has been there 3 months you might want to start a little lower. I know my 2014 with 22K miles on it has had multiple 25K plus offers. But its not for sale.

Have you checked the book value on it? Kelly blue book says 29K, so that might be a deal. i would check that and NADA. and make sure you put in that its a dealer truck, not buying from individual. good luck

I say they have it priced to move already, but it won't hurt you to start lower. It's expected behavior and the only one who will be kicking themselves for not starting lower is you.

Go to Cars.com.

You can search nationally, sorting by distance from zip code. Now you can search for the same truck and see if you can get a better deal somewhere else.

Do all your shopping through email, and focus on the out-the-door price.

I got blue book for my '14 on a trade. Not gonna say yer getting a great deal because it's impossible to know what's out there but if they let you out the door for 25k after it's all said and done I'd call it a win.

"Oh, sweet debt. Thy name is Truck."

I always have found my best deals at a different manufacturers lot. Actually two of my prior Rams came from a Subaru dealer. They take EM in cheaper because they don't know them or want them and no one goes there looking for trucks just like I'm sure no ones going to the Chevy dealer looking for a ram. See if they want it off the lot :)
