New guy from Laredo TX. I Traded my 2012 Mustang for a 2015 Ram 1500 two months ago. So far I love the truck but I regret not getting it 4x4 for lifting purposes. I post pics once I figure out how to do it.

Have no regrets my friend! You have begun the journey in the right direction. Besides, In South Texas I too would likely go for a 2wd. BURN THAT RUBBER!

Anyways Welcome!

I did the same thing with a 2012 1500 so I bought a 2013 2500 4x4 and lifted it. Now I have a 3500 so it didn't matter anyway but I'll never have another truck that's not a 4x4 again. If you don't plan on getting it deep in mud there are plenty of guys that lift rear wheel drives... You can still lift it. Some people just like the look and there's nothing wrong with that.

This was the beast before I got rid of her...

I go back and forth wishing I had a 4x4 but honestly, I love my truck as is. Welcome to the forum!

Wow. Beautiful. And Im not planning on going deep mudding, But I like how the 4x4s got more choices as far as lifts.
