New Orders during COVID

Gentlemen, With a relocation of my family pending from Washington to Alaska I decided it was time to up grade my 2012 Ram 1500 to a 2020 2500 Cummings. I placed this order May 30th, and currently have a D status. Have any of you placed orders since Jan and have received your orders sine the Mexico plant reopened? Obviously I’ve got some time to wait but I’ve been told 3-6 months? Any thoughts? Thanks

Even pre-Covid it could take 3 months for a custom order. Your dealer and RAMCares can give you updates on your truck's build status. Do you have your VIN number yet?

I somewhat recently moved from Alaska to Washington. I sold my 2500 up there and bought a 1500 down here. What I learned from my mistake is that I paid over $4500 in sales tax that I wouldn't have paid had I purchased in Alaska. It's probably too late for you since you've already placed an order, but you would save a good chunk of money if you waited and purchased up there.

I placed my order May 6th. My truck just got out of paint and has a build sheet.

Nearly 5k savings in sales tax by buying in Alaska? Its like 1000 bucks to ship cross country, if that's the case I'd be buying in Alaska and shipping.

Being active duty I’ll get a travel pass and won’t need to register or title until i get to Alaska saving me from paying Wa taxes.

Thanks for the update, My new orders to leave Wa cut my time in half. I was suppose to have till Dec so waiting for the truck wasn’t going to be an issue but now I report in Septs which comes to 14.5 weeks from the time I ordered it. Based on your time line at the height of COVID I’m hoping mi e will come in before I have to leave.
