Hey,

New to the forum and I'm looking at new trucks. I've had dodges in the past and have had great experiences. I've been looking a lifted trucks though. I've always been nervous about getting a lifted truck due to issues it may have. Anyways, I live in the Northwest so I know trucks are a little more spendy up here, but I'm looking at this truck.

Lifted Cummins 5.9L 2500 With Custom Wheels For Sale | LiftedTruckz

Curious what you guys think of this truck? Look like a decent deal? I'd need financing so I know I'm paying a little more from a dealer. But what do you guys think?

Welcome to RF!

I think the truck looks amazing, but that price tag is way to much for an 06 if you ask me.

Hello, welcome to the site.

Nice looking truck, but like my 06 MC of the same wheelbase, it'll take a 1/4 acre to turn the truck around... :) The engine is amazing but the '06's have some gremlins in them with the electronics due to the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Management) system. Some are good, some, not so much. I've found the '06 headlights to be sub-par, and one day, when I get some spare $$ I'll be ordering projectors from JJ in the sponsors area.

One thing to think about with lifting the truck, and its why I haven't lifted my truck, is the risk of death wobble (or DW for short). DW is caused by geometry being out, worn parts, etc etc... I'm sure someone will correct me with a few more root causes of the problem, but my recommendation, leave it stock height unless you are prepared to potentially deal with issues like that.

As far as price goes, its not bad, considering what I see in Canada (Alberta) for similar trucks. They've held their value well.. I paid $29,000 for my 3500 MC Laramie with 83000km in 2010... I'd be checking Kelly's BlueBook to see what it comes back with for a clean truck and negotiate with that in mind. People will tend to over-value their 5.9 Cummins as it is a legendary engine.

Good luck on the purchase!

I ran the truck through KBB with the specs I could see...

They are a little high, I think you've got some wiggle room..
