Just got my first Ram. I bought it off my brother. It's a 2002 quad cab 5.9L. I love it. It's in great shape and only has 70K miles! Can't wait to start working on it.

Question?

How do I tell if my 2002 falls into the gen 2 or gen 3 category??

So this is probably a stupid question but it will save me tons of searching... I checked this morning and I have oil in the intake... plenum gasket is blown. I'm kinda glad being the truck is a little weak as of now!! So if I type Plenum Gasket into search I get tons of hits... I need to know if there is a really detailed thread about fixing it. I assume someone has created it but I just need to find it!!
