New truck prices---nationwide?

Makes me wish I had waited a little longer to buy my new truck. I'd do a trade-in but I know I won't get crap for mine with new ones going this cheap. Plus I know they'll try to not give me every one of those discounts, but damn!

So is this going on nationwide? The 2wd's are even cheaper.

That is a Gen2 Ecodiesel...they're almost giving them away as they can't sell them like they can the Gen3 models that are now out on the market. The Gen2 suffered a number of issues so there are plenty of wary buyers thus they aren't selling.

They have over 1,000 trucks and like I said, different combo's (models, engines, etc.) available, I just posted one example I liked. When did the Gen 3 diesel come out?

It arrived at dealerships around the fall/winter of 2019 depending upon where a person is located.

When the shutdown does eventually end you can expect lots of factory deals from Ram and Ford and Toyota (for the Tundra) as well as a lot of low mileage used trucks being sold by people who cannot afford to make the payments to the bank.

Interesting article. It seems at least for the trucks, the dealers/mfgrs aren't getting hurt too badly. Now I don't mind carving a tiny bite out of the profits of the big boys, but I hate the thought of what's happening to the little guys these days.

I will say this about Elk Grove, I seriously doubt anyone will get that truck for their bogus internet ad price. They had a cab/chassis I was looking for, $4k less than any local SoCal dealer. Lot of back and forth with the fleet manager , and after he quit jerking around the price ended up being less than $1k less. At that point it wasnt worth me flying up there and driving it back home, not to mention his back and forth games turned me off and further re-enforced my disdain for car salesman.

they got to give away, 2nd gen Ecodiesel. With all the problems and media .
