RFC RAM.JPG I was advised to start my own thread and re-post my RAM purchase story so here it is MAJ-Charlie.

Hi all,
A little late finding and signing on to this forum. I've had my RAM for a few months now. I was actually a little surprised to be buying one. We went out to the dealer to replace the wife's aging Saturn. Found a car for her and bought it. The salesman asked if there was anything else he could do for us. The wife piped up and said the next thing we needed to do was find a truck for me. He trotted out a new looking used RAM Hemi. I was slow to answer when she asked if I liked it. Normally this would be something that would be totally my decision but it was a lot more truck than I had considered. She said "get it, you deserve it". Boy she's a keeper. The wife too! :)

I'll add a picture when I can figure out how, but it's really nothing out of the ordinary for this forum. Just your run of the mill white quad cab fantastic RAM truck. I've owned trucks before but never owned a REAL truck.

Thanks neighbor! One of the reasons I made the decision so fast is that the RAM 4x4's are so popular up here. Anybody that has been through some of the storms I've seen up here must have a pretty good idea what truck will get them home.

I've driven them all, traded a 13 f150 fx4 for my 16 ecodiesel tradesman. Aside from missing the 3.73 gears and rear locker this truck is amazing compared. You won't be sorry. Now to just figure out rust proofing to make them last

Hodge, I actually have some information that might help with that problem! A close friend of mine is a retired aeronautical mechanic. He recommended Corrosion-X. I bought some and as soon as the weather will allow me to crawl around under the RAM I'm going to squirt that stuff in every crevice of it I can get access to, where ever I have seen rust on a truck.

:welcome:to the RAMily!
4 x 4 = off road

Thanks for the welcome Nate. I used to hear about the new math growing up. Is that it? I'll stick to the paved road I get in more than enough trouble there. I'll leave the off-road stuff to you and George.

Hi George how is life in Canada?

Good Choice... both of them.
