Hi all, i did a quick search and found some similar, but different issues (make sense?? :))
15,000 miles on a 2018 2500 diesel. Already had ABS motor and pump replaced, and then the 4 wheel drive solenoid, not a good start... Now having issues with cruise control, of course intermittent.
Cancel button does not work while on cruise control - bit disconcerting, but i have the brake of course
The other day engaged cruise, speed fell (and continued to fall) below set point and started downshifting, couldn't cancel. Stopped, on/off then had zero cruise at all. Later in day it all worked perfectly. I did capture a video too large for this forum

I had some issues with my cruise on my '17 PW. Very intermittent, but haven't had an issue in about 9 months now.

What I found in my case (not sure on yours) was it had to do with how I drive. For instance, one issue I had was that if I was accelerating and hit resume while ABOVE my set speed, it would continue accelerating, fail to hit the speed (because it was already past), and cancel the cruise and lock it out. Also, some full-throttle situations (like passing a tractor on a busy 2-lane US highway) would turn the cruise off.

Since I adjusted my driving habits, these issues with cruise being locked out have gone away.

Never had an issue with the speed continuing to fall off.
