I'd be willing to lose the stock air box for an under hood dual battery. Anyone come across a good replacement? I assume a snorkel would require some cutting body work and I'm not willing to do that.

Being stuck in sand is no fun. If you're at the beach a lot you might consider your recovery options. I've had to burry the spare for a winching anchor, again, not fun. I think Hi Lift makes a thing that looks like a boat anchor that digs itself deeper as you pull against it.

Vararam intake with the Ecodiesel second battery mount.

To follow up, a new air intake and under hood battery box was too pricey for me. I bought a half stick of 1 1/2" angle and built a battery box similar in design to what Speedway and Summit sell and hung it underneath on the passenger side frame rail. Total cost under $75.

Snorkel is cutting. I upgraded my stock battery to the h8 agm as well instead of going dual battery. I plan on upgrading the stock wiring at some point because I plan on swapping out my front bumper to a custom bumper and winch setup. I did do the 6.4 intake manifold and airbox on my truck which was a nice bump in low end torque. Nice setup. I’m working on putting fox on my truck. The icons are nice. I had the chance to ride in someone’s truck with icon and they felt really nice.

Looks great :waytogo:

If I didn’t have and love my Vararam….. I’d definitely go the AEV route.
