Owners Manual

I have requested an Owners Manual from the dealer back in December. Several calls and text and have been told they are on back order. Called today and now I am told Ram only provides an electronic file, no hard copy Manual. I pay $80k for a truck and the dealer can’t provide an Owners Manual for my glove box! Does anyone know where I can get an Owners Manual instead of an electronic file? Thanks.

Yeah, I hate that trend. My last couple of motorcycle purchases have been that way too. My '22 Ram came with an owners manual. Nice to have one.

You can probably take the electronic copy to a Office Depot type place and have them print and bind it as a manual.

Downloaded the ‘24 Manual for my Bigfoot Quadcab, 412 pages. (Can’t help but wonder how many pages the ‘25 version will have.)
Also disappointed that a conventional, succinct owners’ manual is absent. One is now required to have some form of an operational computer present in their truck. Perhaps the new versions of the Ram will have the manual programed into the vehicle software and retrievable on the dashboard screen (assuming the truck battery has power).

I think printed owner's manuals are a thing of the past regardless of the vehicle cost. My wife's 2024 Bronco came with the owner's manual in the Ford sync system which I found very useful and easy to look up stuff. I was also able to download a PDF version for all of our vehicles which are all searchable. With all the crap in an owner's manual (safety boxes, notes, caution, etc), I like the ability to search a PDF and find what I'm looking for. I wish RAM put the owner's manual in the Uconnect system like Ford did.

I hate the trend, but it makes searching for something a lot easier when you have a copy in adobe acrobat on your phone and computer....

Must be a new change for the 24 models. My 23 built last July had a manual. That is crummy.

Just picked up a 24 1500 Limited, dealer told me the same thing, I have found a lot of videos on Youtube.com that pretty much explains how to set all the electronics.

Must be a new change for the 24 models. My 23 built last July had a manual. That is crummy.

My 2023 came with one, also. And I downloaded a copy to my PC at home so I don't need to go running to the truck to get that one when I need to look up something.

I did not get an Owner's Manual with my 2019 (just a User Guide).

I downloaded the manual and called RAM corporate customer service (866-726-4636) for a hard copy.

I don't know if the policy has changed but the original owner can get one free hard copy of the Owner's Manual when I got my truck.

I know it isn't the same thing, but if you have the Ram app, you can view the owner's manual from the app. I can see the pros and cons of both (print and digital). I have a 22, so I do have a printed copy.

I too dislike the electronic trend as I suspect it is applied, but FCA could turn this lemon into lemonade. My '22 Tradesman has a physical owner's manual, but it is frustrating. It is filled with "if equipped" information that is not applicable to my rig. Often I do not know if mine is so equipped, so I waste much time trying to find out if it applies. FCA has a record of all serial numbers, and has on record what is and is not equipped for each. It should be a simple computer programming task to customize the electronic owner's manual to each vehicle, weeding out the irrelevant garbage, reducing the file size by 90%, thereby making the electronic version more useful than the hard copy.

I do not like the electronic method either! I did find on the Ram site they do offer a printed owners manual for a "mere" $50.00! You would think that for what they are asking for these trucks, they could "splurge" and throw one in the glove box!

When I bought my 23 the dealer said there was no hard copy manual, but I found one stuffed in the rear floor bin, unopened.

I actually need the PDF. Thanks for the tip. But I had to convert it to another format because, for some reason, my PDFs wouldn’t open. I was recommended a converter https://www.pinterest.com/pdf_guru/ that supports a wide range of formats and is very easy to use, and it all went quite smoothly. I don’t know what the problem is yet, but at least I can access the documents I need.
