OK guys, well a month ago I got my 2012 RAM 1500 and have been doing performance mods, but now it's time for the outside! I got some off brand fender flares from eBay (I know, shoot me for being cheap) that were $260. Well my local shop quoted me $100 to color match them. I decided to give it a shot and paint them myself just to see what I could do! I went to my friends store and got rustoleum paint, primer, clear, and sandpaper. After watching numerous YouTube videos I took the plunge! 6 hours later, I present you my painted fender flares! The color isn't exact and I didn't get the BEST pictures but I'll get some tomorrow along with a write up on the painting process. Just wanted to share this as my first post!

Nice job... Hundred is cheap... My paint for my flares was $150 for 4ozs. Plus the clear and additives. I just let the body shop handle it. Set me back $360 but they look great

Yikes, that's a lot of money for paint... I live in a small town of about 1800 people so that's one reason for a cheaper job. Hopefully my job will last a while, the clear coat had a catalyst in it and is almost as hard as the finish on my truck
