Do the tips come off easily, or do they need to be cut?

Sorry if dumb question.. Haven't had the chance to climb under because of rain.

I'm assuming you have the factory duals. The tiips are welded to a short pipe that can be removed. It's about 18" or so in front of the chrome tips. here is a diagram.
Check with local powder coat shops. I found one that will powder coat mine gloss black for $20 each. Going to get it done when it warms up a bitl.

Loosen nut, break small weld....its easy, grab it and wiggle it up and down, comes right off. Scotchbrite them, paint them with high temp paint, leaving good dry time between coats. Mine has been done for well over a year.

They bolt right back on. Align it, and crank that bolt down.
I personally put some anti-seize on the threads so I could remove them later for cleaning.
