Peragon new bed cover (not for PW yet, but looks ideal once it is)

I saw a Youtube ad for this and was about to click off when he slid the whole thing backward. I was really surprised, that's an awesome feature. It's not cheap and there's other competitors in this arena, including ones that open fore and aft, but this looks like the only one that can be moved around like that and is as easy to completely remove. I plan to get one once they offer it for our trucks. Seems really cool.

This does seem like a pretty cool idea. I'm curious how easily the center sliding section comes off though. I have no use for a cover that makes me lose 1/3 of my bed so I just have a vinyl cover, but if something like this was able to be removed fairly easily that could definitely change my mind.

The YouTube ad video shows it comes off real easily, under a minute and no tools needed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=XZMtiFwfUEA shows it briefly, but that's not the ad I saw. This one says 60 seconds to remove. The guy I saw did it in under 30 seconds (not counting storing the panels away, of course).

I was on the fence about the Diamondback for the same reason you mention, the center bit is harder to remove, but this solves it.

Thanks for sharing those. The video I saw only showed taking the two outer panels off so I wasn't sure if the center panel was a more difficult removal or not.

That's how the Diamondback works with the middle bit being harder to remove and why I was hesitant to buy that one. I really want access to the front of the bed without moving stuff around and going to the back, but I need my full truck bed reasonably often as well. This week I've been hauling two yards of mulch at a time, for example.

I fully intend to buy this one once available, so I'll let you know how it goes.

I notice it says NOT Ram box, NOT Multifunction tailgate so out for my uses but I really really was impressed by the sliding fore and aft ability. Brilliant idea. I actually have from factory Mopar tri fold and that is really easy to remove. Just dog clips front and rear. At home of course! Otherwise nowhere to put it. I never tried to pack it away in cab tho. Maybe I should see if it would go thru doors.

I just got the email that it's released for 2500s with the 6'2" bed. I plan to buy one this spring, not going to mess with it in the winter.

I just put one on my 1500. I love it and have many compliments. It is everything as advertised. Easy install, for me. It can be removed, as advertised. Tail gate will open and close with the back panel down, but it is a good idea to open the back panel, as you can tell there is some strain. I always open the rear panel just to limit wear on the seal. Don't be in a hurry to get it though. I was on a wait list for a couple of months due to production. I would highly recommend.

My cover is supposed to ship tomorrow, so feedback soon.

If you call them they have a veteran's discount. $200 off and a set of their "premium ratchet straps" thrown in for free.

Super easy install.

Also pictured is the tail gate seal: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075PWVW67?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

I put it on awhile back to keep mulch and rocks from falling in that gap between the bed and tailgate when shoveling it out. I was afraid it wouldn't stick good to the spray in bed liner, but the little "adhesive promoter" pen that came with the kit and the built in sticky areas are holding up really well so far. Bonus, I expect it'll keep a lot of dust out of the bed on the sandy/dusty trails.

Bed cover looks good.

I've had one of those bed seals in my truck for over a year and its still in great shape. Best thing I never knew about.

So much easier to access everything. Unloaded just the boxes I needed to cook the picnic then back in the road.
