A wild guess a valve cover gasket the screws are have loosen or the gasket is cracked .How many miles does the truck have on it ?Sometime you can retorque the valve cover screws back down sometimes will stop it from leaking oil.
Try tight up the valve cover bolts and see if any change if not the valve cover gasket is getting old for hot and cold engine over the years.I got a 4.7 so I'm getting close to your miles too and she ain't no baby no more.
Safe to clean the area with carb cleaner? Figured so that tighten and then see if it still leaks.
Also any idea the torque specs for it?
This truck has served me well, I bought a new truck end of April and still have this one cause I just love it so much, but might have to part from it soon
If you can take brake cleaner and a old tooth brush it would work also be careful of your coil packs .The valve cover screws are torqued to 105 inch pounds.
