Planning to replace bed, question-older gen bed fitment

Greeting all, I have a 02 with 8' bed, it is so beat up that I want to replace it.....long story short, there is a great deal on craigslist that I found, but the bed is from a 2000 dodge ram...could someone please englighten me on its fitment?
Is it a direct replacement? Any wiring?

I have done plenty of suspension and brake work, so this is a diy job for me...just want someone to shed some light on older gen's bed fitment.

Do you have an 02 1500 or 02 2500?

I would assume he has a 2500 cause it's pretty easy to tell that body line wise it isn't going to match between a 2nd an 3rd gen
