PLEASE HELP!!! Driver's Seat Alignment

My 2008 RAM 1500 ST driver's seat is offset to the right about 2 inches. This means that if my body is centered in the seat, the steering wheel and the pedals are about 2 inches to my left instead of being right in front of me. Comparing the left seat to the right seat, I can see there is no gap between the driver’s seat and the center seat. There is about a 2" gap between the passenger seat and the center seat. I find myself sitting way over to the left to compensate, which gets old when driving hundreds of miles. I’ve seen a lot of posts on the web about the driver’s seat foam cushion wearing out. This may be one of the reasons why.
To make matters worse, I noticed the steering wheel shifted slightly to the left. There is a gap between the steering column and the right hand side of the dash that looks a little wide. As I look closer I notice the steering column is tight up against the left hand side of the dash. The steering wheel appears to be shifted to the left a good inch from center as I'm sitting looking at it. So between the seat and the steering wheel, there I sit toward the right and steering toward the left feeling like I'm driving a mailman truck.
I remember 25 years ago when I was a pup, I had a 1976 Mustang II that was the same way. Driving feels awkward, like a one legged man on a unicycle.

This is slowly driving me insane.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
Can anyone recommend a service manual that does a good job of illustrating seat removal/ adjustments etc.?
Is there any way to move the seat closer to the door so everything lines up correctly?

Welcome. Obviously this problem has crept up over time. Don't take this the wrong way but here are my thoughts with out looking at the Truck. If you use the steering wheel as a grab handle it is possible the column has shifted some how or the u-bracket (if there is one?) is bent to the left. As for the seat they are bolted to the floor with no adjustment and the spacing of the three sections is made by the middle seat portion (03-05 anyways) floor brackets so I would say the cushion has shifted. My seats where ***** out when I bought my Truck (3 years old w/120 K Miles) the metal had cut right through the foam along the outside edge as a person tends to slide out over the side. i replaced them with 05 Laramie and been still like new after 5 years and 30 K miles More. Check the seat sides on the passenger and compare then to see if they are tilted or straight up. If you know someone with a similar Truck you could check with a measure tape while sitting in the Truck with door closed (distance from door panel to column cover behind the wheel). If its out by an inch you will see right away. Good Luck, and stick around. We also like Pictures too.

That is common. I think I read something like 9 out of 10 Dodge Rams seats aren't centered to the steering wheel. All you have to do to fix it.... scoot over.

Okay this might not help but here is a picture of floor mats in my 2008 Ram and I hope that you can get a idea of how the driver seat is mounted and the distance from the door frame. I wish I still owned it I could get your measurements but I figured this might help.

When you sat in the seat did you notice if you were centered with the steering wheel?

I was gonna say the same thing about the steering wheel. Perhaps from pulling into the truck it's messed the alignment up. Not crazy though, well unless you can drive it happy like that. That would drive me crazy too!

I don't remember being felt not centered. My rear did not fill up the entire seat so if I was not sitting center I don't know if I would have noticed.

That's weird. I've never seen that condition before. Mine is pretty spot on.

lol no that is not what I am saying. My wife said she did not notice anything and I would not dare comment on her rear lol. I know better then that.

the steering wheel has slotted attachment to it try loosening it and sliding it which ever way it needs to go and see if that doesn't help
