Hey all, new guy from Wisconsin here. I’m looking at a 2001 2500 slt big horn. 6.7 coupled with the 6 speed manual. 160k on it and they want 25 for it. It is extremely clean, lifted, tuned and deleted. Questions; price fair? Any common/classic issues with this year/Gen? I know the motor is bullet proof, but I have no idea how reliable the manual is. Any insight? Clutch wear, ***** cylinders go out, thrust bearings ect. Thanks in advance and look forward to meet some of you!

25 what? Grand? Not for a 21+ year old anything. Many really nice low mile 4th gen hemi half tons for less than $25G available. $2500? Save the Manuals! Did you mean 2011?

01 didn't have the 6.7 unless it's been swapped. Transmissions in that time frame were horrendous.

Meant 2007. Sorry

My buddy has a 07 3500 and he drives the **** out of it. He has never had any issues with it and has towed most of the trucks life. His is kinda rare for 130k and not one issue, but his is bone stock. Now being a tuned and deleted truck I wouldn't buy it as the 68rfe is a decent transmission but stock hp numbers. Ball joints and steering components were causing lots of issues as well. 25k is kinda steep even for my neck of the woods
