Hi, I have an 09 5.7 Ram 1500, I’ve had problems with fault codes, had an auto electrician out and he diagnosed a faulty PCM, he said he can probably fix it but on opening it up found water damage, and a dodgy repair where the former person had used plumbers flux, and it had eaten its way through the board,
I purchased a mopar reconditioned unit from Rock Auto, my auto electrician has managed to configure all the keys and put the original vin number in, but is unable to install the engine maps to it, it locks him out half way through, is this possible to do, or has it got to go to a main dealer to be programmed ? To further complicate things I’m in the UK .....
Any help would be gratefully appreciated, or it’s looking like the scrap yard ...
