May already have a forum, but let's see what kind of trouble you get your power wagon into.

Welcome... you didn't care to go first with a photo in your own thread ?

There are a couple of different 'general' photo threads that I have already posted a bunch of stuff in, from 'show and shine' to 'stuck and swamped'. One is at the top of the Power Wagon page, and there is another one or two in the "Main Forum" area.

But, nothing "Power Wagon - Off Road" specific, as far as I know. And I don't mind a few reposted pics every now and again. So, here is my contribution. Same deal as my Avatar, basically. 0202151620 (2).jpg

I could probably fill this thread in all by myself. ...lots of Off Road. Rarely any 'real' trouble.

Looking forward to seeing others chime in. Seems like a lot of people are into modding up, but are reluctant to get out there and get them dirty. Understandable all the $$$ involved and at risk, I suppose. Perhaps people just want peace of mind capability, for that random 'what if' scenario, rather than getting out there just for the heck of it.

Where are those pictures taken? I would like to find some places around where I live in Canada but there aren't many places to go and drive without trespassing.

These are all taken in and around Northern Arizona and South / East Utah.

Open Off Highway Vehicle Area - Coral Pink Sand Dunes, BLM Land (stay on marked or existing trails) as you would with Private Land. Some area around Big Water Utah is open for 'Cross Country' travel and do as you please type of driving.

Many of the previous shots were at Lone Rock Beach State Park, which has a neat OHV area with Dunes on the shore, and plenty of nice Slick Rock climbs and trails. They film a lot of commercials, and TV shows out here.

These are all a few years old now... before the new wheels/tires on the '13 and me picking up a '16 de-badged Laramie PW.

Got some nice shots over in Monument Valley, UT as well. Though that is all pretty regulated Navajo Nation Tribal Lands. Good wheeling there too... if you are brave enough to venture out there. Local Navajo People are actually quite cool, despite the initial rough image. As long as you aren't being an ****** in general .

Man nice pics, I haven't gotten mine out just yet. Only had it for about 6 months. Plan on taking it over labor day weekend to the mountains in colorado.

I will have to look up Peyton. Let me know if you come down this way and want a tour of the good spots! We don't have to do anything that would risk body damage. We can just air down, and still have an outstanding time getting everywhere one would really want to go.

Wanted to hook up with the guys doing the PW club run over in Moab, but it didn't work out.

Lots of good stuff around the 'Four Corners' area. I need to try out my '16 PW, with it's Coil Suspension. ... I fear I trust and like the way my '13 PW looks and drives with almost 70k on it, than the '16 PW with the 6.4 does, with less than half as many miles on it.

Maybe I just need to get used to it, mod it to my liking a bit and go from there.

I grew up in Farmington NM and know the area decently, but would love to link up. I am currently on the outskirts of colorado springs

Yeah, just run down through Cortez over to the 160. If you get tired of the pines and altitude, and want some of the most photogenic backdrops in the country (world?), just keep coming S/W, to Moki-Dugway, Valley of the Gods, Goosenecks State Park, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley and on and on...

We (on the big ADV bike) went up to Telluride, hoping to ride up and over Black Bear Pass then back down to Silverton, but found out when we got to the top of town that it was a One-Way (W/B) route and that we had screwed up... shoulda have done the Skyway loop Counter-Clockwise, rather than attempting it Clockwise where we came up into the state. Had to backtrack all the way back down and around. But it made for a nice ride last fall, regardless.

All three stuck in the mud. The Jeep and I winched out, and I snatched the H2 out.

35s and the 11.5 AAM center section don’t play with deep ruts.

"35s and the 11.5 AAM center section don’t play with deep ruts"

No Joke! ... and on the '13, the front steering skidplate acts like a massive snow / sand shovel, making backing out once down to the pumpkins impossible. Well, that and the 'trellis / ladder' construction of the belly 'skid plate' that just drops right into any soft stuff like the ribs in a waffle iron. Making the only easy way out, lifting it fully off it's belly first - not easy to get enough height under it jacking, especially with the abundant suspension droop.

Luckily, this was damp sand. I just aired down, locked up, and this walked right out on it's own. Nothing around to Winch off of.

Full length sliders with a step tube and a 60” Hi Lift solve the jacking/suspension droop problem for me. My factory bumpers are beaten up to the point that I’ll be replacing them with fabricated bumpers and I’ll be designing them to be strong enough for jacking from the corners so I have even more options.

My truck is pinstriped pretty good, but when you cover it in mud you can’t tell how bad it is :)
