Picked up some TYC fogs from rockauto, baked them at 250°F for 15 min, got the front lenses off, painted insides black except the reflectors. Now I need to get the front lenses back on and sealed. This is the first time I've done this, so any suggested method and specific product recommendations?

Thanks

I use RFS to get the sealer and the instructions will tell you what to do.

Butyl rubber/sealer. It is sold in rolls by The Retrofit Source. You just get it to the right size/length and place it in the channel of the housing. Heat it to make it pliable and then place the lens into the channel and get it pushed in. Heat it again and then remove the small amount of excess around the edge.

Thanks, I have ordered some. Only concern is too much of the product possibly oozing out into the inside of the housing (where it cannot be trimmed).

Just an FYI, Home Depot sells butyl rubber "tape" in the roofing section. Its meant for sealing metal roofing panels, but is basically the same stuff as all of the headlight shop butyl rubber tape. Except its $4.00 per 40' roll and easily obtainable if you have a Home Depot nearby.

Nice little video of how to do it. Skip to 10 minute mark.
