Please help, my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 mega cab goes into protection mode with almost every bump. It's not reading any codes. I shift into neutral shut it off and start it back up again. It starts up like nothing happened until I hit another bump. Is this the ECU? Does it need to be replaced? I've got @30000 miles on a new motor 5.7 /transmission auto 5 speed. All stock.

I would bet there is a loose connection somewhere or have a spot with insulation chaffed (or chewed) off and it is momentarily grounding something out.

Good luck with your search , start unplugging connections and spray with electrical cleaner , hopefully you get lucky and spot some green crusties quickly.
