4 Wheel Parts were having a sale on shocks so I got Rancho 9000XL for my truck. I have 68K miles on the truck with 35K towing. It was time and I was feeling a small something off in the front when turning slightly to the right. That could be either a shock, bearing or some other suspension part.

First, don't believe any of those Youtube videos on how easy it is. Have a saws all handy for the rear shocks. I had to cut off both the top nuts because the area where you hold the shaft from spinning stripped. The front for some reason didn't spin and I just turned the main nut. You will also need an impact drill for the bottom bolts unless you are the hulk.

The original front right shock did appear to be dead.

I set the rear shocks to 9 and the front to 7. The first drive on smooth roads was great, firm, no sway, and comfortable. I do have about 250lbs of stuff in the bed. These are new smooth roads where I am now so not a great test.

I'll let you know how it goes after I tow a bit.
