Helped my nephew pick up cars he purchased at the Nashville auto auction.

This was sitting next to our car hauler when we started loading.

Got my heart racing for a minute.

Absolutely beautiful

Yeah, .for just a heartbeat, I dreamed, then the reality of upkeep costs hit and I quickly turned away.

Gotta love fox body interchangeability. I remember a clean white 2 dr Fairmont that got featured in a magazine (Car Craft, Hot Rod, PHR, one of those) way back when (like very late 80's/early 90's, still in the dark days but emerging). Took the entire drivetrain and interior from either an 5.0 LX or GT and crammed it into the Fairmont. Only outward appearance items that gave anything away were the exhaust and the wheels....this was likely mid to late 90's come to think of it, as they were '93 Cobra wheels.

This is a video of my above '69 Dart Swinger 340 with the 418 stroker both before and after installing the 3" exhaust. Turn up the volume!

Been busy working on the '58 and trying to stay off the wife's radar. A few weeks ago, I installed UMI tubular control arms, new tie rod ends, QA1 adjusters and a new UMI sway bar. After tackling all of the routine maintenance I pulled the valve covers to paint the "as cast" area between the fins and give them a good polish.

The water pump gaskets needed to be replaced so all of the parts that came off in the process got polished up as well.

I swapped out the trans cooler and relocated it behind the grille for better airflow and made new cooler lines from the trans forward.

With the chassis and drivetrain all done, it's time to move on to smaller, easier projects...
