One of the best vehicles I've owned. 1997 Crown Vic P71 Police Interceptor. Got me out of a ticket once. Cop pulled me over walked toward me thumped on the trunk and waved me on.

When I had my dealer license, I used to buy a lot of P71s off the government auction site. I loved those things, and made a decent amount of money reselling them.

It's a pretty cool place. I've been at least three times, maybe more. Did you go pre- or post- sink hole?

When they first opened, they had a Ford flathead as one of the first exhibits, crediting Ford with popularizing the cheap V8 and starting the marketing/hp wars that lead the Corvette getting a V8. That disappeared after a few years, I guess some marketing exec thought acknowledging a competitor was sinful behavior...

I have a picture buried somewhere in all my junk of my grandfather standing beside his Cord, taken in the early - mid 40's. Now you have me adding another in-house project to my list to do this winter. I will see if I can dig it up, I'm on a mission.
