Haaaahahahaha yes. "Sorry we dont have that part but if you call we can get you rigged up with a 60 thousand dollar truck instead"

So i guess if you blow your elocker on the 2019 they give you a whole new truck o_O

I just sent an email to Eaton asking for part numbers and retailers.

Crikey, we have 12 cars in stock with fresh blinker fluid if you'd like to test drive one.

The elusive elocker saga continues...

I was under the impression eaton was making them? Guess not. Or Ram licensed the Eaton name and is squirreling them away in some super secret rear diff vault so you have to buy a new truck.Screenshot_20190313-201623_Outlook.jpg

I run an off road shop and lockers are really only needed for HEAVY off road or places where you will have tires off the ground. Look into the Spartan Lockers as they just replace the spider gears

Yep. My truck works great only time I’ve had any issue is when one of my front tires come off the ground... next up it either quick disconnects on sway bar or thuren sway bar. Or even a combo of both lol. I figure if I get my big ole trucks wheels off the ground an can’t get though I prolly don’t need to get though

I really suggest the thuren bar. Are you running his springs?

I've got enough experience that I have a pretty good idea where my truck shouldn't go. I do like the idea of having a locker available. That's one things my fx4 had that I miss, actually the only thing I miss from that truck aside from the stupid amount of power. That being said a locker has its place, I just like options.

Yeah. I’m running his overland package. It’s been amazing and the flex is awesome. She’s pretty much unstoppable the biggest issue is my length. Crewcab longbed lol. Switchbacks kick my ass but still get though. I will prolly do his bar....but quick disconnects are so cheap and I wanna get better shocks.

I always just take my sway bars off to be honest. I had many wheels in the air but that was off road lol

I had his 2.0 system an never had a complaint. If you end up with his shocks above the white body overlands you can run without a sway no issues. They are valved perfectly, a little firm which keeps body roll down but the suspension is free to move. If you tow at all id get his sway bar first, than shocks. I towed a few times without it and it was OK, but not confidence inspiring enough to make it a habit. My truck was purpose built so towing wasn't my goal, but it still performed great.

Did you do rear leafs yet????

My towing days are over. If I tow I bolt on some timbergeoves and run with it. I have a 14’ so I have rear shocks. Truck handles a million times better than with the stock crap on it.

Ah I forgot they went to coils in the 4th gens, you're set than. Get that sway bar and some of his nice tuned shocks and you'll be spoiled for sure. He's the reason I am forever going to swap suspension on everything I own.

Side note, I spoke with Jason "auto edits" a few days ago and he's gonna be installing one of these lunchbox lockers in his ram. Guess he's got an upcoming trip and there's no options for us so he's goin with one of these hopefully he can get some good content and feedback on one. I'm curious how intrusive one is in these trucks, for curiosity sake. I know my Cherokee is wasn't bad except for super tight turns on pavement where it clicked and popped, like these style lockers do. With a longer wheel base and less turning radius it may not be terrible. Like I said I'm curious, I know where I stand with needing one and it's something I prob won't ever install.....i say this now....my truck was supposed to stay stock too....*****

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 4X2 that I bought used. It had an open rear end so I had a Eaton Detroit TrueTrac Diff added. I previously had it added to my '02 Dakota to replace the LSD that was worn out at 103,000 miles and loved it on the Dakota. I've had my Ram in snow/icy road conditions and it's worked great. I'm running General HTS-60 highway tires and was very pleased with how everything handled in the conditions. Both Dakota and Ram have 3:55 gears
