Rear wheels spinning off the ground when in park

i have a 2001 ram 1500 and i went to change the brakes and when i lifted the rear end up i realized that the tires were spinning freely and the drive shaft was not and it was in park im unsure of what needs fixed but ive never seen it before.

When you change the rear differential oil, jack the tires off the ground like you did previously. Pull the rear cover and drain the oil. Then have someone spin the tires to see what goes on. Hands on learning is the best. Just keep your hands/fingers out of those gears!

I thought the dealer broke mine when they pulled the axles to replace brake caliper mount.

It was the first time I had both axles off the ground while I replaced the shocks.

Before I thought there was a lock as when having one side up it would move only one mm then stop. Felt like a mechanical stopping force. But I guess it was pulling against the tire on the ground.

Thought they broke the pawl as I know you have to take that panel off the dash and pull the orange cord to release the parking pawl.

I know I do have anti spin, but I guess ram anti spin is different than true limited slip.
