Well, it was a bad day today....went according to their directions....shouldn't have...ugh. An hour and a half of construction, then directed around some back roads. Took 3 hours just to go 66 miles. Then their directions to Indy speedway were NO where near it....finally get about a mile away, and my front caliper on the passenger side came loose, ground up the lip on my wheel, brought me to a screeching halt! Ended up taking the caliper completely off, using a pair of vise grips to clamp off the line....tore my caliper up enough I will have to replace it....and the wheel. Tire was just slightly flatspotted. Oh well, can't always be perfect. Just thankful it happened at a stop light so I could fix it, instead of on the road.....
Anyway, made it to the Speedway just in time to get to do a lap on the old icon! Wow...just barely fit in their tunnel (it's only 8' tall!) by about 3"....good thing I hadn't put my CB antennas on yet...
Shot some video on the track, got a pic or two. Stopped at the Corvette Museum on the way up this morning and took a few pics there too....still haven't found Mutt??? Did find a Rumblebee at Nashville and invited them to the forum....
So, been fun and upsetting both today...but it is all good now, we are in the hotel...La Quinta by the airport...
