Hello everyone, if youve seen my posts before you know my ram is a p.o.s
I started working at firestone and with my employee discounts i can afford to start fixing her up! That makes me pretty damn excited! For starters im going to get a full trans service for an amazing price! So due to my new found low prices i need to figure out why the truck is running rich, heres a little info for you. Theres no CEL on and the plugs are newish, cant put a mile count on them because i forget, new air filter, clean oil and good gas.

Dapepper i hope you and your infinite wisdom see this!

Infinite wisdom huh? You don't know me very well then.
How's the idle? Try the key trick to make sure there's no codes stored

Plenum done? Probably fouled O2 from a blown plenum if not.

Bad bank 1 will cause rich run if it didn't like the a/f ratio too.

Unplug sensor, see if anything changes.:word:
O2 sensors are a pretty common cause of running rich. I'd suggest only using the OEM replacement which is NKG. The last one I used was a Bosch and while it seems to work, I wonder at how long it will last. IF your plenum was blown it wouldnt hurt to replace both, although I would only do one at a time and see how it effects the truck, just so you can learn more about it. Also check your cat, as a bad plenum can cause it to clog.
