It isn't clear in the rules but there is only one nomination per person. I will update the rules and remove the duplicates here.

so a second counts as a nomination, because a person can only be nominated once, and then seconded

A second nomination gets you into the voting section of the contest where you will send me some sweet pics of your truck and the poll takes place.

So if two separate people nominate a member, they are in.

Can't nominate yourself either.
