Okay, I'll give it a shot with my former '15 2500 Tradesman 4x4 5.7 that was my first new truck purchase, replacing a '99 F-250 Powerstroke. It got a good workout on our former 15 acre farm before I retired. I rebadged as a Power Wagon because it was (to me) like a basic old-school late 1940s Power Wagon (and rode like one, too!). Had more than one person offer to buy it, and regularly got compliments on it.

i dont think it has anything to do w being proud, not everyone is into competing w their trucks. and prob for a number of reasons. to each his own brother.
When I did it I didn't think of it as competing. I was wanting to join and see other members trucks at their finest. I have one of the least popular type trucks (RCSB) with "chrome" in this forum and wasn't even expecting to win but I had a lot of good people help me to win. Every truck in it had just as good a chance as I. I have to say I don't mind the TOTM banner under my avatar either! It isn't hard to join, 5 pictures and some fun in voting!

I love single cab trucks. That’s the reason I ordered mine from the factory. Couldn’t find a nice used one that was single cab and 4x4. Also was an easy thing to do back before I had a wife and kid.

That's what my wife's car was for when we had kids at home. Now it's just me and her and we prefer to take mine every where we go now! I've never owned a extended cab much less a 4 door. There are very sharp 4 door trucks for a 4 door, I just love the looks of a regular cab much better.

I prefer a longbed single cab, too, but when I was pricing out my new truck, my wife kept dropping hints that it would be nice to put the powered cooler and suitcases inside the cab when we travel in the truck (tonneau covers leak in the rain!), as well as carry the grandkids (both are still in carseats). So the Quad Cab won out...

Now that's a true "work truck". Haven't seen a Chevy Vega in years. Looks like your enjoying all the uses for the Ram. Not a garage queen here.

Another good contender has entered :waytogo:

I've wanted a RCSB since I was old enough to know what a truck was... Finally got myself one this year. Congrats on your win too! Give me some hope when I get to that point. :hahano:

What tonneau are you using that its leaking?! Mines dry as a bone when we get the tropical storms passing over.

There was a 70s Comet running the road course at Good Guys yesterday. I said the same thing you just dont see them anymore. Lots of drag racers around here ran them when I was a kid.

It was a TonnoPro LoRoll cover on my former '15 2500. It may not have leaked (much) when new, but by the time I sold the truck, the tailgate seal was cracked and the velcro along the sides was fairly worn.

My new truck has a Truxport and the side rails are angled higher than the TonnoPro, as well as the tailgate seal seeming to seal better. I haven't had need to check for water after a rain or car wash, but presume it's staying dryer.

We got 4 so far. One more spot. I am going to leave this open until tomorrow then the voting starts.

Timing was a bit off this month because of the voting access issue last month. Next month we will resume our normal schedule.

Thanks all!
