Have just bought a 2013 ram with the 5.7L hemi. Why does the transmission not go into high gear until you get to about 64 mph? Does it have something to do with the eco mode???

You must have the 3.55s lol. Plus even with the 3.92 that I have, these trucks are geared silly high. I don't know off the top of my head when I hit my top gear, but I am pretty sure it is about 50 mph maybe a little higher even.

6th is the overdrive gear and typically won't get there until around 65 on my truck either. Nothing to be concerned with. Just the gear ratio...Not ECO related
