Should I be worried about my shocks?

As long as the shocks are short enough not to jam I don't think they will be under any more load. They will still just dampen the spring, but in a different portion of their travel.

To jam? You mean fully compress?

Yup. If the shock is too long once you lower, you will need a shorter shock.

Assuming you know TONS more than me about the truck..... would I be okay if I dropped the front 2" and rear 4"? I wont be towing a giant boat or a trailer full of cattle or anything lol Just my 19ft bass boat. And no off road ramp jumping or anything.

you will be fine, your over thinking it :)

Mcgaughys kits are designed to work w/ stock shocks.

another option is their 2'' lowering spindles (keeps all the stock geometry). I have a set for sale in the wanted section if you wanted to check them out. Another member has said he wants them but I havnt seen any $ yet so they may still be available,

No matter what, you have to drop that truck, It will look SSOOoooo nice!
