After researching for several months, I finally decided to go with this product (https://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-2018-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) to protect the door sills on our '17 Laramie CC. I already had purchased the vinyl product that has the Ram cutout stencil, but I was not impressed with how long it would stand up to foot traffic.

The reviewers seemed to like the product, but had problems with installation. The instructions suggested that it be over 60 degrees. I waited until it was 85 and the truck was sitting in the sun. Each piece was very easy to manage and I am super happy with how the install went. Once in place and firmly rubbed with the applicator, I am confident that it is there forever!

I looked at the one you ended up with and the vinyl ones. I ended up getting the vinyl ones, they are definitely pretty thin vinyl and I don’t see them lasting years but they do look good and I get a lot of comments on them. When I have to replace them I’m going to get the ones you have. They look pretty heavy duty, similar to the anti slip in aircraft.

Hows the quality and how was the install? Is the vinyl really sticky or does it seen like it's going to come off after a few months from not being sticky enough?

Also, can you post the seller (link to auction) you bought from? Theres a handful selling these same vinyls and I'd prefer to buy from the seller you did so if you have good things to say about the vinyl then I'll atleast know in getting the same quality.

I used 3M paint defender on my sills and so far it is holding up. My 15 ram i used clear 3M tape on them and didnt have any issues what so ever in 3 1/2 years. I really like the ram ones posted above though, theyre sweet looking. So is the grip tape but i feel that it wouldnt clean so well once it gets dirty

Just my opinion, but the vinyl ones seem more like a decal. The ones I got are more like anti slip strips that you put on stairs or ramps. They are holding up wonderfully and if my shoes are wet, I don't slip. If I had mud or gravel stuck to my boots, I'd be afraid the vinyl would get marked up.
