Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 8" Subwoofer in like new condition with Metra 72-6514 harness. This is a direct drop in replacement for 2009-2018 Ram with the Alpine system and the included metra harnesses allow plug and play with no splicing. Gives a much tighter bass than the factory sub.

I'm not going to word this right, but did swapping this increase the "volume" of the sub at all, or just tighten up the sound it produces?

It can handle more power, but no it won't be louder at the same volume setting. Tightening up the sound I think was the biggest benefit. Unfortunately you don't have many options that fit in the factory sub box.
