Space behind rear seat? 2014 Crew Cab

Anyone know approximately (or exactly) how much space is behind the rear seat of a crew cab model?

I know that when you fold up the seat (bottom) portion, the bottom of the back rest portion also slides back a little bit, so that would have to be taken into consideration.

Also, Is there any way to fold down the back rest portion of the seat?

Looking to see if some things will fit behind there.

You can either stack some washers under the seat mounts to lift it a little or remove the seat back and trim the plastic hooks on the back of it. Either will allow them to unhook when the seat bottom is lifted and then they'll fold down.
I've seen a bunch of write-ups on it, just don't have the time to find one for you right now.

There's a how to on here, you can turn the hardware upside down on the rear seat so they will fold down easily, doesn't really look like there's a lot of room behind it though.

The Sub/Enclosure I was lookin to use was one of these two:

I don't believe there is anything close to the 6" you are looking for behind the seat. I'll take a closer look at mine when I can.

Reason i'm asking, there's an individual on cumminsforum that states he currently has an Alpine type R 8" sub/enclosure combo behind his back seat in his crew cab, and lookin at the specs on it, it's at 6.5" deep.

This one: Alpine SBR-S8-4 Ported enclosure with one 8" Type-R subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

I've asked what he had to do, if anything, to make it work but haven't received a response yet.

Ain't no way there's 6-6.5" behind the rear seat on my '14 1500 crew. Maybe 3" but definitely not 6.

He probably has the mega cab crew cab. You can fit subs behind the rear seat in those. No way to fit a sub behind a regular crew cab back seat.

Yeah, it must be a mega cab. It was all I could do to fit my amp behind my rear seat. No way a 6" box would be able to fit...

I just checked my 2013 crew cab. I'll try to attach pics. About 4-6 inches back there. Pic on top of fold down seats

I mounted my audio equipment back there..
